SM-OCIP

The Station Master-Operation Cum Indication Panel is used by the Station Master to securely interact with the KAVACH network. It allows for intimidating the loco pilots in the vicinity of any danger and acknowledge messages received from the KAVACH network. Kaptronics SM-OCIP is based on ASIL-D certified controller and development toolkit.

SOM

Kaptronics has developed a System-on-Module (SoM) based on TI’s Sitara AM2634-Q1 processor for railway signalling and telecommunication applications. The module features an automotive-grade, quad-core controller with extensive peripheral support, enabling its use in IoT-based railway systems such as KAVACH, Axle Counters, and Electronic Interlocking.

DMI

The Driver Machine Interface is used by the Loco Pilots to securely interface with the KAVACH network. It indicates the loco speed, speed limits, movement authority, signal aspect, RFID tags read status, and the onboard TCAS health to the loco pilot. It also allows the Loco Pilot to intimidate the authorised personnel of any emergencies. Kaptronics DMI is built on EN50155 certified hardware to ensure reliable operation in harsh locomotive conditions.

Axle Counter

The Axle Counter is a vital component of modern railway signalling systems, used to reliably detect the occupancy or clearance of a track section (block). It offers improved accuracy and reliability over traditional closed-circuit track circuits, particularly in environments with heavy traffic, poor track conditions, or harsh climatic conditions. Kaptronics Axle Counters utilise ASIL-D certified controller and development toolkit.
