Kaptronics Pvt. Ltd.
Established in 1978, Kaptronics Pvt. Ltd. has deep expertise in manufacturing electrolytic capacitors, initially serving sectors such as railways, inverters, and welding systems. Since 2000, under current leadership, the company has expanded into mechanical, electrical, and electro-mechanical systems for diesel and electric locomotives.
With the ongoing electrification of railways, Kaptronics has developed products for electric locomotives up to 9000 HP and passenger coaches. In 2015, it set up a dedicated electro-magnetics division to design and manufacture AC/DC motors and transformers.
Current capabilities include:
- Control and auxiliary panels (e.g., control cubicles, filter blocks, switchboard cabinets)
- Traction cooling units (e.g., DB hatch blowers, radiator cooling fans)
- Accessories for locomotives and coaches (e.g., earthing switches, panel hardware)
- Solutions for railway signaling and telecommunication systems
Kaptronics continues to innovate and upgrade its infrastructure to provide comprehensive solutions for motors, drives, control systems, and signaling needs across the railway sector.

Mr. R. Gangadhar – Managing Director
Mr. R. Gangadhar, a first-generation entrepreneur, has led Kaptronics since 2000. A Mechanical Engineer with an MBA in Finance, he brings over 13 years of PSU experience from HAL, BEL, and KSFC. His expertise spans design, development, procurement, manufacturing, and marketing. He is also trained in ERP systems (Oracle Financials), enhancing his operational leadership
