About Kaptronics
Kaptronics pvt. ltd. was established in the year 1978 and managed by current directors since 2000. The company has had its expertise in manufacturing of electrolytic capacitors. These were widely used in railway locomotives, Inverters, welding machines etc. With the upgradation of locomotive from excitation system to microprocessor the company diversified to diesel locomotive in the domain of mechanical, electrical & electro-mechanical.
With the rise of Electrification the company developed products for Electric Locomotives up to 9000 hp and coaches.
The company set up an independent electro-magnetics division for manufacturing of motors and transformers in 2015 and has successfully designed & manufactured various types of AC Motors, DC Motors, permanent magnet alternators & motors for EV Segment.
Today the company also has the ability to design and manufacture various types of panels such as Auxiliary Circuit Cubicle, Control Cubicle, Filter Block, Switch Board Cabinets and other panels.
We also manufacture critical functional cooling units for traction applications such as DB Hatch Blower unit, radiator cooling fan for Diesel Locomotives and various types of blowers for electric locomotives.
The company also manufactures other accessories for locomotives, coaches, EMU’s, DEMU’s such as Earthing Switch, Panel accessories, etc.
The company aims at fulfilling the requirement of motors, drives & control systems for railways and the electric vehicle sector. Will continue to explore better technology & enhance the infrastructure & production process in giving a single point solution to the rising Motor, fast charging stations & control system market
Our Managing Director
Mr. R Gangadhar, our Managing Director, is a First Generation Entrepreneur who has led our company since 2000, having a background in Mechanical Engineering from BMS College of Engineering and an MBA in Finance, Mr. Gangadhar brings a diverse skill set to his role. Prior to his entrepreneurial journey, he gained valuable experience as an Aeronautical Design Engineer at Hindustan Aeronautics Limited (HAL) and served as a Deputy Engineer at Bharat Electronics Limited (BEL). He also held the position of Deputy Manager at Karnataka State Financial Corparation, specializing in Technical Appraisal. With a total of 13 years of experience in public sector undertakings (PSUs), Mr. Gangadhar is well-versed in various aspects of our business, including Design, Development, Customer Development, Procurement, Manufacturing, Testing, and Marketing. Additionally, he has received training in ERP Systems from Oracle Financials, further enhancing his expertise in managing our company’s operations.
